My last motor home had a Generac 5.5 kw air cooled gas. Sounded like I had a
go cart back there. Being installed near the bedroom made it worse. Wouldn't
think or running it all night for AC. Ran at same speed regardless of load
and was belt drive to add more noise.

Now have the QD 7500. After it warms up and stops claterring, you forget it
is even running. The AC or TV easily drowns it out. The water cooling, sound
enclosure, and variable speed really make a difference. At a Nascar event, I
ran it for 3 days striaght. The folks next to us were asked and they didn't
mind it at all. I also have that tube set up to bring the exhaust over the
roof.
