Two excellent and profound points. That "get up to pee in the night" is
the main reason we sleep on the lower bunk. Being small folk, Mrs
Squirrel and I fit there tidily. Secondary reason? Might plunge to death
getting down due to clumsiness.

I have seen more and more nice quiet campgrounds "improved" so
40-footers needing pull-through parking will fit. In Joshua Tree NP only
one CG can't take Travelodges 'cause the road snakes between massive
boulders. Them boulders unlikely to ever be moved. Tent camping and
little Class B campers are all that fit. Makes it nice. The Best Of Tent
Camping book series focuses on CGs that are pretty and not yet modified
for the Dark Side. I am told that Jalama State Beach in CA, formerly a
bit difficult to get to due to 20 mile snaky road is now a
less-enjoyable destination because the county "improved" the road so the
officers from Vandenberg AFB could drive their Travelodges there. I mean
damn! If I wanted to camp in a mobile home park I'd go there!
