Check the regulator brushes on your alternator. I was going through
these fuel pump issues a few weeks ago as well and discovered that my
regulator brushes were trashed. Don't know for sure if this was the
issue, but it's an easy check and there was some discussion during my
problems that the power to the fuel pump relays comes through there.
Like, I say, I'm not sure this was what was wrong with mine, but this
was one of the things I replaced before I got mine working.
