Hi All, Perhaps just anecdotal evidence, but my experience matches Ken W.'s (actually, I think it was he who recommended Bars Leaks to me in the first place). Heads had been done at 70k by the PO, and I had a little seepage at 160k. I used the liquid Bars Leaks, about 3/4 the recommended dose for caution's sake, and have been dry ever since (now at 225k). No radiator/ heater core problems came up. Also, just replaced the large driver's side water pipe in the engine bay this weekend, and the interior was pristine (except where rust had eaten through from the outside). All this with regular prestone, for what it's worth. Best, Matt Sutton 88 Gl Brooklyn NY |
