Neil,
I have come up with a reasonable answer to you concept. It is the Garmin
Mobile 10 and a SmartPhone. The Mobile10 costs ~$165-$200, comes with
navigation software for both Microsoft mobile and windows, so it will run on
a laptop too. It connects through Bluetooth. My Smart phone has a mobile
version of office, wireless connections The interface is not as nice as an
Iphone, but I figure that will be the new standard. I would expect Garmin to
embrace that market pretty quickly. My phone bill with the data support runs
under $100 per month.
I am rapidly becoming a gadget junkie!

Hi all.
So this thread got me learning about Garmins. Pretty cool. Now I want!
Anyone know if there's 3rd party word processing software for it?
That would really "kill two birds" for me. GPS, Mp3 and something to keep
*legible* notes on. Especially since screen gets great reviews.
Not sure if it would be big enough though.
I know they have USB ports, so a KB plus simple WP software, and off you go!
(of course its' OS would have to support that kind of thing)
Just curious.
Neil.
