How about just ignoring the question if you don't
have the answer and let someone else gladly
answer it ,
instead of rudely suggesting the asker look it up
himself somewere and risking a new Vanagon list
flamebroiled war.
No, I ain't joking and it ain't Friday.
Happened to me once on another forum- I needed
help and they just said , one after the other,
why don't you look it up on Google?
Here these 31 year old geeks were, the experts,
claiming to be there to help but just passing me
off because the real reason they were on that
forum was it was their own personal chat clique
where they could pass smilies back and forth to
each other.
C'mon-we can dare to be above that here and just
help the poor clueless member, can't we?
The only exception to that rule is that we should
outlaw all tire discussions immediately!
