Here in Anchorage we have an I/M program that has had a reputation for being as strict as California's and it recently allowed two Tico conversions through with one minor requirement. They made the shop that did the conversions relabel the oxygen sensor light in the cluster as an "engine" light. One small label that reads "ENG" over the "OX2" by the light and they passed.
