Before I had new rear brake pads replaced, there was no pulsation. As soon as I had them replaced, the brakes had a strong pulsation. They still do have a pulsation, although it has faded somewhat. My mechanic said that it was due to the new pads not matching the drums (which were not replaced or turned). Incidentally, the same mechanic, a year later, asked me if I noticed that my brakes were pulsating!!

I have been doing so many brake jobs this summer it is not even funny. This problem is almost always the rear drums. Get a new pair, pop them on, adjust the shoes out to just touching, and you will have smooth operation and high pedal. Messing around with getting drums turned is pointless unless you also are going to get the shoes cut to match. Don't know too many places that still do this.

Hope this helps, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com
