Used vanagon parts prices aren't going to go through the roof especially. Sure, a few will charge over the top prices... And occasionally there is the highly desired rare part that's in high demand... But mostly you find good deals easily enough. I try to keep my used part prices very fair. Supply and demand anyway....if some yard wants 250 for a window, there are likely to get a lot on non-takers at that price level, and lost future sales from people not bothering to even check with them, based on that experience.

Hi All, When you consider a southern Californian Co can sell a bus for $87,000.00, (did I get enough zeros in there)? $250 for a window, just isn't that bad... Look for parts prices to skyrocket, folks !!! 6 years ago I mentioned on the list about gas prices here in the US matching Europes'... best, JC...

A few things... did you tell them what they go for? I find the guys at Malahat good to deal with and if they are out of line on the prices they usually try to compete. If you think they are expensive, call Tom Cat in Victoria... If you are not happy with the pricing DON'T BUY Is it a rip off? I don't think so. If the seller and the buyer feel everything is good and square then it is a fair deal. It's not like they did anything bad to you other than quote a high price, they didn't promise you one thing and gave you another or some other "bad deal". I don't see a rip off here, only a high price that you didn't want to pay.
