Yep, did all that, checked voltages, poked and prodded, got bored, gave up, Velcro'd CVS clock to dash. I have a lead on a spare working one nearby and will pick it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed, I'll have a fully-functional dash! Except for the dash light dimmer which I fried in a wonderful cross-wiring mishap.
