Ron,

Fairly simple -- barring complications. My '85 spent all of its early life in Ohio - land of the salty roads - so the entire tranny center section was covered with thick scaly rust that looked like parts of the TITANIC. The governor cap was fused to the surrounding metal and required a good deal of persuasion to come loose. Installing a new o-ring was impossible since chunks of the housing came out with the cap so I sealed it up with a great quantity of Permatex orange gasket sealer. Not my favorite way of doing things but it works.
