Georgios, Sorry for the previous empty message....%&*$# touchpad... anyway I had similar damage to my case after ignoring the rattling noise coming from the pump. The groove my impellers wore were deeper into the case metal. I replaced the pump without addressing the damaged case. That was 130k miles ago with no pump problems since. The temp gauge sits on the lower edge of the warning light so it seems to be doing it's job as intended. Of course the usual YMMV disclaimers apply.. Good luck with yours.
