I can't see myself naming a car or a machine or whatever like I name my children. They get their name from their usefulness, their service, the reason we like them for. In my case, when I was thinking to give it a name, I had more than one around and the one we used for the vacations, I named Campy One. The others had the two and tree, etc. names. Later I stopped the practice but the Campy One name has stuck. It is number one to us still, and been with us for fifteen years. The kids grew up with it and can't think without it. It is a member of the family, it took us from San Diego to the Arctic Ocean to the Grand Canyon and much more and all inbetween and back. It was stolen once, missed it for a year, but it came back without any real great loss. Originally I got it burnt out in the back, took a lot of cleaning of the soot inside and replacing all the things that was on the top of the engine. I can't see myself selling it now, especially that I don't have to take it to emissions anymore. I have an other dozen Westies today without names though, but they are candidates for restorations.
