The flip side of this story... I've been diligently saving my pennies to have a TDI transplant on my 86 syncro since about January - I've saved up about $8 k! (which is hard because my other hobby is a music studio and band!) The mechanic originally spec'd out June/July as the months for the work but now says he's so backed up it could be months. m - Back at the beginning of May I offered a big down payment to get "in line"... but alas... I will have wait an unknown amount of time patiently... my syncro looks so sad in the driveway - she blew a head stud last winter- on redone heads with about 12 k on them.... patiently waiting... chris |
