I've owned a Peugeot 405 and it was a bit expensive when it came to repairs, and there were a few big ones; engine rebuild/switch from Auto to 5 spd. I also ended up turning wrenches for the same Peugeot shop for a few years. I have to say Saabs were always ahead in the $$$ category and they seemed to break down the most, even more than the old Peugeot 505's and 405's.
