The old square diaphragm regulator was discontinued years back. The modern round diaphragm versions are all a little longer. There is no option but to carefully bend the lines for the longer ones. I have done it many times, as have lots of others. Do not use a single stage BBQ regulator as they are not safe for vehicle use. Use only a 2 stage regulator, like the original was.
