Here's the tech specs on the Tempest TR22-12....quite a lot of info. http://www.tempestbatteries.com/html/tr22-12.html Regarding charging...it says "initial charging current recommended =4.4amps, but also says charging voltage of 14.4 to 14.9V ..which is fairly consistant with other deep cycle batteries...in that they can't be really be fully recharged with a vehicle alternator that puts out a 13.7- 14 volts. But this would be true for a stand alone big 100AH battery also, wouldn't it? (I've read elsewhere that deep cycles have to be put on a smart charger plugged into 110AC to be fully recharged.) So Dennis why do you think charging with the alternator would be a problem.
