For now... and i try a lot of Vanagon each week with all kind of tire, the Continental Vanco are dificult to beat as for handling, even in heavy rain and wind. http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/body105.jpg I have the 15in version, different "shape wise" than the 14in. I have the 205. With the Subi engine i had no choice to go for a solid tire and 15 or 16in wheels. I also likie the Vred but they are more and more dificult to get. Ben ps.: i hate tire thread :-) On Sat, 11 Aug 2007 23:27:48 +0000, Jeff Stewart <fonman4277@COMCAST.NET> wrote: > >Can't tell you about the Hankooks, but I put Continental Vanco 8's on my '84 Westy, got the 205 size, mounted on alloys, and I am VERY satisfied with them. No "squirrely" handling at all. I got them from Tire Rack, about $90.00 each Jeff |
