I was on an airplane flying from Seattle to Minneapolis this winter and I
sat next to a cute youn british girl. As we got to talking about our lives
she told me she worked for the Discovery channel filming shows. We talked
about the exciting places we had been and when the conversation got around
to Hawaii guess who took the film crew out onto the lava beds. Mick.
I said, "Mick Kalber?" and she asked if we were friends. I said, "Well,
theres this thing called the Vanagon mailing list and we're both have the
same year Syncro".
Of course she said something like "the vanagon what?"
Does anyone else get a weird look from people when they describe the list
and the amount of time we spend reading endless emails about 80 to 91
volkswagen van tires and refrigerators?
And aux batteries.
