> if so why does lobro pack the crimps for the > > boots ?? > > Because the majority of drivers don't go > off-road. > Well I dont mean 4x4ing I mean off road like rutted logging roads I dont think these roads in the Great PNW are realy 4x4 territory besides the small end of the boot is still quite tight I cant realy see dirt getting in there any ways.. do you think lobro engineering realy beleive that crimps will add to boot/cv life by keeping debris out of the joint with this crimp ? seems to me just 1 long drop of a sidewalk for those not going "OFF ROAD" would enuff to ariculate the cv & pull the boot of the flange, or maybe it is more design issue why dont they use a sealant / glue on the boot in the flange rather than just a press fit ?? do any of the boot makers rockford, lemmforder, cdn tarani use a sealant on the boot flange interface ? |
