Hello Folks, I bought his 88 Canadian Doublecab some time ago. I'm now in the midst of trying to figure out why the dash lights don't work. I've already eliminated the bulbs as I tested them individually. Not only that, I put a completely different cluster which worked fine in another van. The headlight switch has been replaced as well with a known good one. Herein came the problem. I saw that the previous owner wired the radio to the ignition switch wire. Now the radio powers on or off when the key is removed. Doesn't seem smart since that makes the radio presets go out when no "on all the time" power is provided. That's not really the issue but I am concerned that it might be affecting my dash lights. What most concerns me is trio of wires which were taped together. One wire is obviously Brown for ground. Another wire is Blue/Grey. The third is Black/Yellow. Does anybody know what these wires are for? I'm wiring diagram challenged. For that matter, can someone tell me where the dash light power comes from?
