Now that you have converted the system to R-134a, and the proper
plumbing and valves are in place, why not go one more step and install
Freeze 12. It gives back to you almost 100 percent of the efficiency of
the old Freon 12, and similar lower head pressure on the compressor,
similar to Freon 12. 134a requires much higher head pressure on the
compressor, leading to compressor failure a lot sooner, unless you
changed the compressor when you converted to 134a.
