I have a Bell bike rack that holds three bikes. It is adaptable for van hatches, trunks, etc. The problem is that when I've used it on the Westfalia, it has left an indent on the hatch from the weight of the bikes. I need one that will rest the weight on the bumper.

I do not have a hitch, so for now I need a rack that will clip to the top of the hatch and rest on the bumper. Can anyone suggest one which I can go to a store and buy tomorrow?

I have a _SportRack_ (http://www.sportrack.com/) bike carrier on the rear hatch of my van that's been there for years and it does not dent the rear hatch. There are two models from SportRack that I have had and used. The one I have now is the Portage A1110S, it is much better than the model with just straps holding it on. The other I do not remember the model. Check their website, _SportRack Automotive_ (http://www.sportrack.com/) , and you should be able to find a dealer near you.
