Subject: Re: Why can't I name my Bus??

I have named mine ever since my new bride arrived in 77 with her black beetle 'Jackson.' But, aside from the fun and quirky reasons that VW freaks use as excuses for their cooky behavior, it is convenient to go by name if you happen to have several. I would be saying things like, 'the blue 87......no, not the 2wd, the Syncro!'...instead of 'leave Baby and bring The Mule.....or 'no, remember, we drove the brown 71 with the Turkish interior in which they busted you for possesion of mushrooms in 86.....instead of 'you were in Tetsuko, your favorite VW experience!' Naming your bus is part of the journey.....Miguel
