Hi all --


I'm headed to Hawaii for my honeymoon in a few weeks, and am looking for
suggestions for Can't Miss Roads for the moderately adventurous. Any tips?


We have a week on the big island, and a week on Kauai. I'd love to get off
the beaten path, get a little dirt between our teeth, and find some hidden
views most folks miss. Nothing too crazy... but just a little. (I'm an
experienced off-road driver, and VW goon like the rest of you; but we'll be
in a combination of rental Jeeps and a Westy, so I prefer to avoid any
insurance hassles or new-wife meltdown if we get truly stuck out in the
boonies.) Maps, links, road names or photos -- all appreciated.
