So. Engine is out and in garage. Tools are clean. Mess is put away. Transmission is secure. The longer broken stud was successfuly removed. the shorter was not (yet.) Landlord/Machinist/Engine Builder has agreed to help with some compensation (hopefully beer and a bit of cash.) I am going to use Mike's method of making a wrist pin puller and remove the pistons and sleeves at once. (Though I haven't heard yet what this method is.) My landlord will then help me remove the stud-stub. Then I will install all new studs, I need a source for these, though. Any suggestions? (Wife interjects here: "You should say your wife is very irritated with the whole subject.") Will good used studs be acceptable, and how would I know they were any better than the current studs? How much do new studs cost usually? Do they come with cookies? Why do I ask so many questions?

Brendan
