If you ever watch your Vanagon Screensaver you'll see many early Vans with
those wheels. They predate the version with the round holes.  They also used
to be viewable at www.vwpix.terlinden.org until Christoph was served with a
cease and desist.

I'll see if I can find some brochure pix for you.
