I sent a set of pictures to the list a couple of weeks ago showing pictures of a 1985 camper owner manuel. It has a note about high altitude Dometic use. It says that the OEM burner jet is a size #24. If using the Dometic at altitudes over 6500 ft, to change this to a #22. The #22 is smaller. Seems to me that this smaller size can be mimicked by reducing the tank pressure.Changing it from 11 inches of water column , to maybe 10 or 9 inches may reduce the pressure same as using a smaller jet. What do you think? The jet from a 182b for high altitude may or may not be avaliable this long since the manuel was printed. It will fit the 182a if the entire lower buirner box is exchanged, too. I called Dometic once and asked about obsolete 182b parts. They gave me a phone number for a company that bought their old stock. They had lots of stuff, and may have this high altitude jet for a 182b.Dont remember the company name. |
