Geo As Chris has said, these seats are instruments of torture, I replaced the ones in my 84 Westy with captains chairs that were much more comfortable on long trips. But if you want as set, I have my old ones, they are like new, I do not think they are worth the cost of shipping though. Where are you. I am in Durham, NC. I'm looking for a good replacement in this pattern: http://www.cybertrails.com/~ahwahnee/VW-Interior1.jpg Also a couple of questions -- 1) If I am only able to source a passenger seat (as they are more likely to be in good shape) can this be made to serve as a driver's seat? I can see that the slider control is located on the opposite side (never adjust that anyway) and there is a rubber guard around the corner of the D/S seat bottom, possibly to protect it from the handbrake lever when rotating the seat (I never rotate the driver's seat). 2) Is this (attractive? stunning? retro?) pattern unique to the 84 Westies or was it also used on non-Westies &/or other years? Thanks for any answers, advice or leads. Geo |
