I put new Alco shocks all around on my '85 Westy. This is my first experience with that brand so it'll be interesting to see how they do over the long haul. For now the ride is excellent.

When I took the front ones off I found that they both still had shock action but one was softer than the other. That helps explain why it tended to "Wallow" a bit on uneven roads.

The rears were weird, though. They both had shock action when extending them but no effort was required to compress them. That meant that the standard "Bounce" test didn't show they were bad.
