I have a 1984 used/rebuilt 1.9 engine that came from Minneapolis that I paid 750.00 for two years ago and supposedly rebuilt by "west side VW" whomever that was. seller stated engine had about 6500 miles on the rebuild and van was totalled. it is not pretty due to the midwest salt, it has rebuilt not new heads and new pushrod tubes are ev ident. I am looking for a decent AIR COOLED Westy engine that is not worn out. anyone got any ideas? I need to geet some of these vans moving under their own power around here! Thomas
