Paul:

I can't explain your problems, but I think they are unusual. Plate C (on my '87 which is an 82B) must fit on only one way--and slips slightly over the exhaust vent. I don't know about 82As, but that is something to check.

I just came back from several days at 5,000-10,000' with my fridge running for a week or more, no problems. Again, I can't explain your situation.

However, my fridge used to light easily, but now it seems that I have to pump a little, light it, then keep pumping for 1+ minutes before I quit or it will go out. But once over this, it will run fine from Boulder to secret places up high....

The Dometic was designed to work well and correctly. I don't know what your problem is with it. I'd be happy to try to help. I'm in Boulder, but I'll be in Ft Collins on Thursday.

An aside: mention of a "high altude orifice"--- > There is a jet for high altitude. from Roger. I've read this list for ~15 years and this is the first mention of this I have noted. I'd like to know more.

Anyway, my current experience with the Dometic fridge is that, with the burner box cleaned, orifice cleaned, propane pressure checked (11.5"), mine starts easily, but I have to keep pumping for a minute or more or it will go out. After running (and pumping) for a minute or more, it will then run for days.

We had Barbie ice cubes for our Margs after Devils' Causeway in the Flat Tops last week..... ;-)
