Very interesting. Thanks for explaining the details. I hope it works out as planned ! Scott www.turbovans.com ( now if I could just find time to add the breather hose heater wire and fuse to my 2.1 into 85 weekender engine conversion......so many little tasks to do, and so many demands on one's time - it works just fine without power to that little heater element , in the summer anyway, for sure. )

Idle Stabilizer Control Box - located in front of the right rear tail light.

Someone on the list - and I am afraid I have forgotten who (aging brain)- is reverse engineering that little puppy and putting together a digital box as a replacement. I've not seen anything posted on it in a while and I am just wondering what the status is. A digital replacement would be a terrific boon to us all. I have two 88 GL's with the 2.1L WBX and the control box doesn't work in either one. Those little beggars are pricey if bought new, and if you buy used, you never know what you've got - whether it will last a day or 100 years. Pretty iffy in my book.
