Now we won't hear you say stuff like: i'm having black smoke in the morning, hesitation, bad idle, head leak, hi temp problem, head crack, broken ALT bracket, fuel in oil, oil in coolant, white smoke, running rich/poorly when cold or hot.... i'm sure you will miss all those nice VW feature.

The 2.2L is a fine little engine, but your Syncro is an heavy beast, in my opinion, the 2.5L would have been a better choice, the extra +-35 hp and 25fp of torque are welcome on Syncro's.

But like you told me, you were mostly looking for reliability, you have it now. Now, don't forget, those Japanese engine need to rev a bit more those produce power and torque, use that RPM now, you have a good 2k more of usable power. On a 2WD, the 2.5L will push you back in your seat at 5500 rpm. Now i wonder about the 2.5L XT/250hp...., i wonder... :-)

Now, you should show that cool picture of the top of your engine... i very nice touch.

Sad that i miss you guys.

your friend. Ben
