So, what is the collective preferred method for cleaning engines/compartments? I've used the Gunk brand spray on degreaser with some measure of success. I am reluctant on aged engines because I am concerned about water getting in through old, dry seals and such. Typically, I have sprayed on the Gunk stuff on a warm, engine, allow to dwell, rinse off with hose with the engine running. This is not so welcome envrionentally speaking. So what to do?
