Point of Sale...

I know bostig runs a shop with bar coded inventory...

Is there anything that lets you run a Point of sale system for a shop that bar coded inventory management and customer history?

Preferably cheap and non proprietary, without trading off ease of use and reliability.

The shop in question is a beauty shop, hair salon type store.

Thanks for your indulgence.
