Time flies when you're having fun. ELEVEN ALREADY?

Please consider joining us in our celebration of good buses, good food and good friends. This event has been held annually at Catherine Creek State Park outside of Union Oregon on the first weekend following Labor Day since Jack Maynard, Cris Torlasco and friends joined a select group of Boise Bus Pilots here in 1997 and we decided that we ought to do this again. Out of this gathering, WetWesties was born.

The Catherine Creek Annual WetWesties/BusPilots ReUnion is happening September 7-9 in the original WetWesties Campground, Catherine Creek State Park, ten miles east of Union OR. <http:// www.oregonstateparks.org/park_17.php>

We already have the signed "Miscellaneous Use Permit for Nontraditional Park Activities." What this means is that we've formalized what we've always done. I guess actually camping in a State Campground is still nontraditional....

2 vehicles per campsite. That means that we can't triple up at the site by the drinking fountain and quad up at the site by the bridge. (If you've been here in previous years, you know where....)

As of last weekend, no campfires. Charcoal is okay though. It rained yesterday and a bit this morning, but not, I expect, to lift the fire ban.

Lisa and I will collect the camping fees. When you arrive, just tell the Camp Host that you're with WetWesties and they'll point you the right direction. Multiple vehicles per site is fine (and expected). Parking on the grass is NOT fine.

Fees, same as last year: $8.00 regular fee + $5.00 extra vehicle fee = $13/site or $6.50/bus/ night.

If you haven't been out here before, take a look at the brochure linked at the above website. We usually just get the campsites on the center and right-hand loops. This year, I we have all sites from the l/h bathrooms to the r/h end of the park.Plus Bev's site next to the camp pay station.

Any questions? Lemme know.

See ya here....

Jim & Lisa Arnott
