Howdy to all,

Here is my problem. Yesterday morning, hard start. (some hesitation, usually does this after a night in the rain) Got about 2 miles at 50mph 2 very loud backfires, engine dies. Got it towed home. Check timing, (#1 cylinder @ TDC, timing chain did not jump) fuel, and spark. All ok. Still wont start. Just cranks and cranks. I found 1 spark plug with a broken insulator. As soon as I turn on the ignition, the radiator fan starts and stays on, It has never done this before. I did a static check of all the sensors, all check out ok. I'm thinking computer, but why would it backfire and die? Any ideas?
