Dusty, not dirty. It was like that when I bought it a year ago and I drove it like that (well, the dust MIGHT blow off) and just recently tried Gunk engine cleaner that did not seem to do anything.

I am not fastidious about keeping an engine clean, but when cleaning one would like to see some improvement.
