Not me, but I have owned A&E/Dometic/Transawn and I'll post a pro vs. con. I now have a shadyboy and I agree with your info in the wiki-up. One way to to avoid wear on the pole pockets is to use some sort of non abrasive cap on the pole end. As far as the poles shedding splinters, mine did too, so I gently rubbed em down with light sandpaper 600grit IIRC same as gov't installed toilet paper in some gov't supported loos. Roadhaus has lots of experience with the Shadyboy and I'm sure he'll comment if asked. The only part with an infinite life is the one that is never installed.
