because they  look just like VW 14" stock. More authentic look than
any Mercedes rims.  And they are better than 14" stock. To use Mercedes
rims the lug holes need  to be machined. Those holes are critical for
mounting the rims. I don't  really like the look of 15" VW rims from SA.

I am not sure about all of them but the Mercedes wheels I just bought have  a
bushing in all the lug holes that can be knocked out and the result is a
bigger hole (14mm)  and a conical seat instead of a ball type seat.  Needless to
say I was a happy camper!
I will shortly be detailing what I have  to do as far as stud lengths and
spacers. I will try and put some stuff up on  the wiki about it
