Hi all. Do MP3 players with EXCELLENT FM reception exsist? Also, any reccomends for a mono indash AM/FM radios, with excellent reception? Maybe an older Blaupunkt? Or I could rig up a good portable like Grundig? I figure install a good low draw amp, and wire two seperate inputs for front or rear placement of MP3 player. When camping, house battery gets too low over typical 16 hour period. Useage: 2/3 CD's in dash mount Panasonic CD/Radio, sink pump, + 2 fridge fans running all the time. I drive at least 4 hours a day on average. The CD player seems to draw the most. Battery is small, but it was installed/unconnected for about 8 months when new and drained too low too many times. I may have damaged it. Rooky mistakes. Regardless..... Less consumption is better. A bigger battery may be in the future, but I'd like to use what I have. Plus having access to tunes at rear of van, better FM (and maybe AM?) reception and replacing current malfunctioning CD player, makes sense. Thanks for any input, Neil.
