P 97.64 of Bentley shows "Radio Conn" at T4. T4 is: "4 point behind dash" This means a 4 point wire connector behind dash. As a visual reference, a Red wire goes from a connector on T4 to connector #30 on the "Emerg Flshr SW" : the emergency flasher switch. Maybe there's a wire coming from T4 not connected to anything. It may have been for original radio. If so, test it with a VOM meter. See if power goes to it when ignition switch turned on. Regardless, you don't have to take apart the steering column. Just find the appropriate wire or connection at T4 and run this wire (positive) to your radio. Your radio should then be switched by the ignition switch. You *may* also be able to find an open male spade connector at "S9" which is fuse #9. A 16 amp fuse. You could connect your radio directly to the ***Correct*** end of fuse. Cheers,
Neil. (who finds his Bentley invaluable! Hint hint! ;^)
