Hi.
Then the rear seat /bed has wood in it, right ?
Unusual vanagon, to me anyway, this one.
And not a very 'westy' Westphalia.
I think I would describe it at an 87 Wolfsburg vanagon with Westphalia
interior but no pop top.
Chrome metal bumpers, right ?
Which outside mirrors, and what color, the early crummy ones, or the later
bigger ones ?
And what upholstery and paneling ?
My 85 Wolfsburg weekender with pop top has really deluxe upholstery....
And orangish-color paneling....I think it's metal with vinyl something
sprayed on it.....way cooler than the common GL cardboard paneling. Built
in arm rest areas, etc.
If this 87 is a deluxe model with cozy interior .......they can be pretty
nice.

Well ... it's just a matter of semantics. The "Z" bed was made by
Westfalia (hence the Westfalia tag) but the van isn't a Westfalia
"Conversion". Vanagon owners, as a group, don't call the non-poptop
weekenders "Westfalias".

pop top. I am not sure if they called it a Weekender or not but it matches
the description. The Westfalia data plate is there as are the Wolfsburg
badges. The owner says it is now as it was when purchased new. If it is not
supposed to exist or is a rare model then it might be fun to run a check on
the VIN. Jim has that and probably more details if it piques your fancy to
investigate. Aren't Vanagons fun?

correct number is 936-569-7781. The other number was to the county sheriff's
office. Geez, what a mistake! And, again, the location is Nacogdoches,
Texas, which is in East Texas.
