Subject: Vanagons For Sale, Westy?

All of the Wolfsburg models from 84 on had a fold out bed made by Westfalia. There are 4 different versions of this bed, afaik. 3 are full width, one a 2 person bench. Calling a metal roofed Wolfsburg passenger model a Westy does not follow convention.

We seem to go around and around every year about what is a Westy and what is a Weekender. I'm not sure these terms are clearly defined anywhere in a way that holds across all years.

I am not sure if they called it a Weekender or not but it matches the description. The Westfalia data plate is there as are the Wolfsburg badges. The owner says it is now as it was when purchased new. If it is not supposed to exist or is a rare model then it might be fun to run a check on the VIN. Jim has that and probably more details if it piques your fancy to investigate. Aren't Vanagons fun? > > I should add that I gave the incorrect home phone number for Jim. The correct number is 936-569-7781. The other number was to the county sheriff's office. Geez, what a mistake! And, again, the location is Nacogdoches, Texas, which is in East Texas. > > Craig > >>
