Geetings oh great and knoledgeable list.

My 86 Gl auto, 2.1 has all of a sudden gone from normal to idle at 4500 rpm. At first it seemed like a stuck accelorator cable but it is just fine and moves freely. I removed it from the throtle body and no change. I hear the click from the position switch. still no change. I checked the switch for continuity and found none. removed the switch and found a wire had broken off . I resoder the wire now switch is woking but no difference in rpm any idea?

I checked the archive but no luck
