Neil, if you are talking about the one south of Mt Adams...I live right
nearby, and have looked for years for that lake...It ain't there, except
maybe for a week or two in spring time.  There is also Conboy Lake wildlife
refuge near Trout Lake...no lake there, either..
  I don't agree with your new rule.."if you don't know, don't go"...I think
just the opposite...If you don't know, go see...I have found some great
country that way..and taken some dead end drives, too..
