I've seen a writeup about washing the front seat covers in a washing machine. I can't remember where I saw it but the results were amazing. The down side is that you have to disassemble the seat to get the material off of the frame. I'm putting heated seat elements into my front seats this fall and I'm going to give it a try then, I'll be taking the seats apart so I might as well.
