There is a good (by reputation - I only had them swap out my rear wheel bearings, and I brought them the hubs) shop in Warren, on Mound Road, at about 13 1/2 Mile Road, called Autohaus. I see all manner of things VW waiting there, from new Passats to old Ghias, and, well, Things! And Westies of all vintages. Lots of repeat customers, too.

I would do it, but I'm too busy with my flywheel seal issue.

Does anyone know a good Vanagon Mechanic in the Detroit area (northern suburbs)?

How long of a job is it to do this repair? Book time vs. "best / actual" time?

What would you estimate the labor cost for this repair?

Thanks!
