Having just aquired a Baywindow (by proxy at least) I have started to wonder why the bay seems to be so disrespected in compairison to other styles. Sure the Splitie was the original and had more character and charm than one could shake a stick at and the Vanagon is superior in its engineering, comfort, and handling - however isn't the bay just as wonderful as the others? Sure it's the "middle child" but I feel it is secure in it's Icon status. So why all the bad talk exactly? Are they really that bad? The Baywidow is the bus I fell in love with - way before I even accidentally owned my first Vanagon. I'm so glad to have a Baywindow in my life now as well - even if it isn't really mine. I hope all the naysayers out there don't turn out to be right :)
